    Commercially Produced Polizei Helmet

The helmet shown below is one of the many styles of commercially produced helmets manufactured for German and Austrian military and police use in the mid 1930's.  This particular example has no maker marks.  It bears a factory finished gloss black finish and two standard insignia including a C.A. Pocher pattern Party Shield decal and the bordered Polizei Decal.  Helmets of this kind are not commonly found in today's collector market.  The helmet is manufactured from a very heavy, thick gauge steel.
